SEPA Withdrawals: What To Know
SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) is a bank transfer scheme used for EUR payments across most EU and EEA countries, plus a few participating territories. Casinos process SEPA withdrawals as standard bank transfers, so the money lands in an IBAN account in your name, not in a wallet balance. The main constraint is currency: SEPA runs in euros, so if your casino balance is in another currency the operator converts it before sending, and your bank may apply its own FX margin if the receiving account isn’t EUR.
Processing time is not instant. Many casinos batch bank payouts and release them after internal checks, then the transfer itself typically takes 1–3 business days once sent, with weekends and bank holidays not counted. Expect a basic set of requirements: verified identity, a bank account that matches your registered details, and correct IBAN and BIC (some banks still request BIC). Fees depend on the transfer type: SEPA Credit Transfer is often free or low-cost, while “SHA/OUR/BEN” fee options are not used the same way as with international wires, so the practical cost is set by the casino’s payout fee and your bank’s incoming transfer policy.
